Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Darwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serego Alighiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alighiero has chosen Snoop DoGG as his entrance music. Charles Darwin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Darwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Serego Alighiero!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alighiero pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Darwin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Alighiero.
Alighiero clinches up with Darwin and pushes him back against the cage.
Alighiero lands a shoulder strike.
Darwin is trying to trip Alighiero. He has hold of a leg but Alighiero is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Darwin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Darwin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alighiero is keeping the position for now.
Darwin throwing strikes from guard but Alighiero blocks nicely.
Alighiero is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Darwin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Darwin forces his way into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Darwin is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Alighiero reverses the position - he's now on top in Darwin's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darwin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Darwin keeping moving, preventing Alighiero from controlling successfully.
Alighiero got a little sloppy there for a moment and Darwin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alighiero has managed to get both his arms back between Darwin's legs - danger averted.
Alighiero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Darwin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Darwin is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Alighiero frees his head nicely. Oh but Darwin has switched to an armbar! Alighiero is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
