Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Smith is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lee off and has taken his back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Smith is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Lee knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Lee for a finish.
Lee manages to reverse the position and now he's in Smith's guard. Nice work there by Lee.

That was a close round but I would say that David Smith will probably get the nod.

Lee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Smith manages to pass to side control.

Smith seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with.

Smith has hold of Lee's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lee manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lee tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
