Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Johnson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Johnson wants to control but Thunder is keeping him busy. Johnson tries for a kimura but Thunder is defending well. Thunder tries to get back to half guard but can't. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Thunder gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Thunder prevents Johnson from taking his back. Thunder is trying to reverse the position but instead Johnson has taken his back - oops! Thunder is taking damage to the body and head. Thunder turns into Johnson and is now in his guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Johnson is trying to control the position but Thunder postures up. Thunder lands a couple of decent looking shots. Thunder looking to pass the guard. Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Thunder is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Thunder's back instead. Johnson is trying to stick to Thunder's back but Thunder is turning into Johnson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Johnson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Thunder. Thunder missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Thunder drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Thunder off! Thunder jumps back into Johnson's guard. Thunder is breathing heavily. Johnson looking to control.
Thunder drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Thunder seems to have locked his on tight now - Johnson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Thunder, as he picks up the win!
