Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mato Cicak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adil Ek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mato Cicak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mato Cicak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adil Ek! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice combination there by Ek.
Ek misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ek walks into a stiff left hand from Cicak.
It looks like Adil Ek has been cut. Cicak fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cicak throws a leg kick but Ek moved away. Cicak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ek tries to avoid it but Cicak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ek to the ground. Ek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ek wants to clinch up but Cicak keeps it at a distance. Ek throws the kick towards the body but Cicak avoids it. Cicak shoots for a double leg takedown but Ek sprawls well. He's pushed Cicak's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mato Cicak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ek moves into range and clinches up with Cicak. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ek fails to pull guard.
Cicak is trying to stall.
Ek tries to land knees in the clinch but Cicak avoids the damage to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ek working hard to break the clinch. Ek has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Ek as Cicak tries to tie him up. Ek jumps guard but Cicak turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ek wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cicak keeps control of Ek as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ek is trying to pull guard but Cicak turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Ek is looking for a takedown. Cicak is trying to trip Ek. He has hold of a leg but Ek is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cicak persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ek keeping moving, preventing Cicak from controlling successfully. Ek is adopting a defensive guard. Ek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cicak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ek being controlled here, momentarily. Cicak looking to sit in guard and control but Ek gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cicak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cicak controls Ek momentarily but Ek frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cicak manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ek is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ek is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Ek wants to control but Cicak is having none of it. Cicak is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ek can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ek is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Cicak controlling from mount. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cicak in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cicak sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Cicak is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ek can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ek is rocked! Cicak loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ek scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Cicak land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Cicak stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mato Cicak!
