The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Larios is trying to defend but Ventura finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Larios is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ventura pulls his head out easily.
Larios looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ventura is stalling here. Larios is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ventura seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Larios has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ventura is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Larios is staying tight to Ventura's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Ventura looks to move to half guard but instead Larios has passed into mount! Damn!
Larios avoids the attempt from Ventura to control.

Ventura tries to improve his position but instead Larios has taken his back!
Larios has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Ventura! Can he survive? No! He's out! Larios gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
