PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Holt looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Max shoots in but no luck this time. Tony Holt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holt looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Holt tries for a takedown but Max circles away easily and Max counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Holt's guard now.
Holt is rocked! Max chips away with some ground and pound. Oh Holt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Tony Holt has been cut. Max forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Max is nestled in close to Holt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Max is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Max lands with a punch from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Max scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Tony Holt's cut is getting worse. Holt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Max is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Max lands a nice short elbow.
Jeez, Tony Holt's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Max is nestled in close to Holt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
