Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Aleksander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aleksander comes into the arena with Backbone - Gojira blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gabriel Ferreira was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aleksander misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ferreira.
Ferreira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Gabriel Ferreira was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
