The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner moves away from the strike by Malapitan.
Banner closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Malapitan's guard.
Banner is pushing down on Malapitan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Malapitan is fighting to maintain full guard but Banner has managed to sneak the leg through.
Banner looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Banner has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Malapitan defend it? Banner steps over the head and cranks it - Malapitan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Banner!
