Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Soloman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Moloch Vlavo! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soloman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vlavo sprawls well. Vlavo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Soloman gets slowly back to his feet. Vlavo tries to bum rush Soloman with a series of wild strikes but Soloman uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vlavo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Soloman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Soloman shoots in but Vlavo avoids the takedown attempt easily. Soloman shoots in looking for a takedown. Vlavo tries to sprawl out of it but Soloman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vlavo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Soloman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Soloman shoots in looking for a takedown but Vlavo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Soloman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soloman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vlavo.
Soloman throws a series of punches but Vlavo avoids them all with ease. Vlavo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Nice jab there from Vlavo.
It looks like James Soloman has been cut. Soloman fails with a takedown attempt. Vlavo fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soloman throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Vlavo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vlavo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Soloman counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Left hook, right uppercut from Vlavo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vlavo stuffs the takedown. Soloman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Vlavo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Solomans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Soloman doesn't succeed with the takedown and Vlavo counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Soloman off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Vlavo follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Soloman was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Moloch Vlavo!
