Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Valerio Bertoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Valerio Bertoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JB Costa!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertoto fails with a takedown attempt.
Costa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nice sprawl there from Bertoto as Costa shoots in.
Bertoto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Costa avoids it really well and circles away.
Costa misses with a takedown
so Bertoto counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Valerio Bertoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JB Costa.
Bertoto is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Costa has his foot on Bertoto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bertoto works his way back into a safe position though.

Bertoto avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Costa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bertoto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bertoto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bertoto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Costa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bertoto is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Costa.
Costa is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bertoto lands a decent elbow from side control.
Bertoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bertoto lands a few punches from side control.
Costa tries to buck Bertoto off but Bertoto is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Costa is trying to work for a sweep but Bertoto has mounted him!
Costa is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bertoto will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bertoto has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Costa's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bertoto quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bertoto but it's paid off an Costa is forced to tap! Nice work by Bertoto.

In his post fight interview, Valerio Bertoto started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
