Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Zinfandel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz's entrance music is Welcome to the Jungle. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kale Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zak Zinfandel! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zinfandel sees it coming and avoids it easily. Zinfandel moves away from the strike by Cruz. No joy there for Cruz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zinfandel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Zinfandel avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Cruz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cruz scores with a nice right hand.
Zinfandel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Zinfandel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zinfandel is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cruz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Zinfandel in his tracks.
It looks like Zak Zinfandel has been cut. Zinfandel tries to clinch but Cruz moves out of range. Cruz thows a left - swing and a miss! A slow jab from Zinfandel misses its intended target. Zinfandel gets caught flat footed, as Cruz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz wants to control from the top but Zinfandel keeps moving. Cruz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cruz working some strikes from top position. Zinfandel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz is pushing down on Zinfandel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zinfandel is fighting to maintain full guard but Cruz has managed to sneak the leg through. Cruz scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Cruz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cruz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cruz seems to be working for a kimura but Zinfandel defends the submission attempt. Zinfandel trying to hold on to Cruz's head to control him but Cruz postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cruz is keen to just control but Zinfandel is a slippery customer. Cruz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zinfandel's head. Zinfandel is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz is trying to work for a kimura but Zinfandel is defending well.
Cruz works his foot free and advances to mount. Zinfandel wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cruz.
Cruz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Zinfandel manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cruz controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Cruz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Zinfandel looks calm but he's in trouble here. Cruz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Zinfandel is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Cruz lets go of the hold and Zinfandel can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kale Cruz! During a confident post fight interview, Kale Cruz thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
