The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez lands with a cross.
Sanchez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ryan tries to clinch up
and Sanchez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ryan closes the distance but Sanchez moves to the side
and Sanchez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ryan is rocked!
Ryan moves to clinch but Sanchez breaks away
and Sanchez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oh Ryan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanchez lands a big head kick that sends Ryan tumbling to the mat! Sanchez takes a step backwards and waves Ryan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryan tries to close the distance and clinch but Sanchez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ryan throws a poor cross that misses
and Sanchez counters with a nice uppercut.
Sanchez circles away from the clinch attempt
and Sanchez shoots in, scooping Ryan off his feet. Sanchez is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Ryan to the mat and Ryan is in big trouble! Sanchez is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Sanchez is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Jose Sanchez!
