Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Pitbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuck Liddell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chuck Liddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alan Pitbull! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell misses with an uppercut
and Pitbull counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pitbull throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Pitbull thows a huge punch but Liddell dodges it nicely.
Liddell wants to improve his position but Pitbull is controlling well.
Liddell is trying to stand.
Pitbull is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pitbull takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pitbull content to control rather than advance. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Liddell keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Liddell tries to roll over but Pitbull keeps him under control. Pitbull is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Liddell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pitbull. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pitbull escapes and gets back to his feet. Pitbull rushes Liddell and presses him up against the cage. Pitbull fails to pull guard.
Pitbull lands a hook that snaps the head of Liddell backwards. Pitbull missing with knees to the body.
Pitbull pulls guard. Liddell preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pitbull is on top in guard.
Liddell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pitbull on the ground. Pitbull postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pitbull postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Liddell is working an open guard so Pitbull takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Liddell tries a low kick but Pitbull avoids it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Liddell scores with a jab to the head.
Nice defenses there by Pitbull. Liddell lands with a straight right. Pitbull didn't see that one coming. Pitbull fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Liddell tries a head kick but it misses.
Pitbull is trying hard to land a takedown here. Liddell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Pitbull. Pitbull moves out of range as Liddell throws a body kick.
Liddell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Liddell throws a big shot that misses. Nice defenses there by Pitbull.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Liddell throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice body punch from Pitbull. Pitbull checks a leg kick. Chuck Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Liddell misses with a looping right. Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pitbull throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Liddell was covering up waiting for the punch and Pitbull finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pitbull looks gassed! Liddell is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pitbull advances to half guard. Liddell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pitbull. Pitbull sitting and controlling from the half guard. Pitbull is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddell pushes Pitbull off looking to stand but Pitbull dives back in and keeps control.
Pitbull perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Liddell taking some punishment here, with Pitbull in his half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Liddell wants to get back to full guard but Pitbull has mounted him! Pitbull lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Liddell hang on? BOOM! Pitbull connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Liddell is rocked!
It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut. Pitbull working for a guillotine from mount but Liddell is in no mood to give up. Oh Liddell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pitbull postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Liddell in real trouble here! The ref calls for Liddell to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alan Pitbull!
