Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vincent Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lilb ss! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase fails in his attempt to clinch. ss drives through and clinches with Chase against the cage.
ss jumps into guard, dragging Chase to the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. ss looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Chase has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of ss is proving hard to escape from. There's a bit of a scramble here and now ss is on top in guard.
ss postures up and lands a big shot to Chase's brow. ss trying to control but Chase is working from the bottom. ss advances position into side control! Chase dodges the ground and pound from ss. ss wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chase, who protects the arm well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. ss moves into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. ss misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Chase knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for ss on the ground. ss working for a guillotine from mount but Chase is in no mood to give up. ss with shots to the head and body - Chase looks very uncomfortable down there. Chase squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
ss tries to control but Chase wriggling away. Chase is breathing heavily. ss content just to control the position here. ss landing punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chase avoids a series of strikes thrown by ss.
Chase is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Chase is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, ss cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

ss is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Chase to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Chase shrugs it off. ss looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
ss with the ground and pound from mount. ss fails to move to back control. ss fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. ss landing shots from mount. ss landing strikes, looking to finish! ss scores with a couple of good head shots there.
ss fails to advance to Chase's back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chase tries to buck ss off but ss takes his back! ss missing with strikes from the back. ss punches the canvas rather than the man. ss connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Chase to escape the position.
ss has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Chase! Can he survive? No! He's out! ss gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lilb ss! A determined Lilb ss didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
