The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacCreedy keeps the fight on the outside.
Najman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. MacCreedy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Najman digs a good hook to MacCreedy's body.
Najman misses with a wild body shot.

Najman clinches.
Najman wants a takedown but no success here.

Najman manages to pull guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Najman is trying to control the position but MacCreedy postures up.
MacCreedy with a flurry of punches that miss.
Najman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but MacCreedy puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

MacCreedy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

We're going to have a standup here because Angus MacCreedy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Najman misses with a jab to the body

and MacCreedy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Najman's guard now.
Najman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
MacCreedy forces his way into half guard.
MacCreedy works his foot free and advances to mount.
Najman looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

MacCreedy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Najman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Najman shrugs it off.

MacCreedy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
MacCreedy lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Najman hang on?
