Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Twist Kick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Twist Kick has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Twist Kick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Boom!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kick's guard.
Kick being controlled here, momentarily.
Boom must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up. David Boom was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Boom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kick sprawls well initially but Boom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Boom performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Boom passes to full mount!
Boom with shots to the head and body - Kick looks very uncomfortable down there.
Boom controlling his opponent.
Boom with the ground and pound from mount.

BOOM! Boom connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Boom tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kick bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boom can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kick is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boom is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boom has escaped and now he's on top!

Boom is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Boom connects with a couple of short punches.
Boom is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Boom avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boom not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Boom trying to control but Kick is working from the bottom.
Boom is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by David Boom.
Kick misses the jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kick stuffs the takedown attempt from Boom. Boom gets slowly back to his feet.
Boom fails with a takedown attempt.
Boom tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Boom dominated that round.
That's time! Kick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Boom shoots in and gets a takedown into Kick's guard.

Kick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David Boom wasn't active enough on the ground.

Boom drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Boom. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Check out the look on Boom's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boom looking to sit in guard and control but Kick gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boom pushes Kick off and scrambles back to his feet.
Boom keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kick.
Boom fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Horrible takedown by Boom or perhaps it was just good defense by Kick which made him look bad.
Kick lands with a kick to the temple. Boom shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Kick gets caught flat footed, as Boom shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Boom is breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boom is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Boom showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Boom drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Boom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Boom missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Boom trying to control the position from guard on top but Kick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kick goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kick throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Boom is looking to pass Kick's guard but actually Kick recovers to full guard.
Boom wants to control from the top but Kick keeps moving.

Boom moves out of range of the body kick from Kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Boom.
Kick gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Boom is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Boom takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kick moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boom wants to control from the top but Kick keeps moving.
Boom is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. David Boom was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kick tries a head kick but it misses.
Twist Kick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Boom closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boom lands in his opponent's guard.
Boom wants to control from the top but Kick keeps moving.
Boom throws an elbow that misses. Kick uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Boom's guard. Nice move by Kick!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kick sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Boom's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Boom comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Boom winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
