Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monty Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Monster by Skillet. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Monty Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Stone!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brown napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Brown tries to escape but Stone is in control.
Brown tries to improve position but can't.
Stone throws a strike aimed at the side of Brown's head but Brown avoids it well.
Stone is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stone in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Brown avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stone.
Stone in side control, throwing shots but Brown defends.
Brown is looking to regain half guard here but Stone keeps moving and retains side control.
Stone cracks Brown with a big right hand but Brown just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stone fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Stone wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy.

Stone working the ground and pound.
Stone has control of an arm but Brown manages to advance to Stone's back!
Stone wants to control his opponent's hands but Brown gets his hands free.
Stone turns into Brown and is now in his guard.
Stone working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Brown's head.
Brown is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Stone won't allow Brown to sweep him here.
Stone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Brown is trying to keep Stone in close.
Stone wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.
Brown controls Stone momentarily but Stone frees himself.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Monty Brown has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Brown tries to clinch there but Stone circles away.
Brown checks a leg kick nicely.
Stone is looking to slow Brown down with leg kicks.
Brown swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stone avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Brown scores with a takedown into Stone's guard.

Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Stone looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brown passes into side control.
Stone looks to move to half guard but instead Brown has passed into mount! Damn!
Brown cracks Stone with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


It looks like Sean Stone has been cut.
Stone tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Brown raining down hammerfists from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Stone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stone is bucking up trying to escape but Brown cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Brown controlling the position easily from mount.
Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stone is looking to escape.
Stone slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Brown thows a huge punch but Stone dodges it nicely.
Stone is pressing down on Brown's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Brown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stone throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Brown content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Brown controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sean Stone will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Sean Stone's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Brown misses the jab.
A head kick misses from Stone.
Stone throws a leg kick that misses.
Stone throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brown.
Brown fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away.
Stone turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brown.
Brown fails with the takedown
and Brown takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Brown moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Stone scoring well with a low kick there.
Stone avoids the body shot from Brown.

Brown closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stone did well to prevent Brown getting side control.

Brown throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stone works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Stone keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brown is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Brown wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
Brown slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Stone throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Brown escapes and throws Stone's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Brown tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Brown controlling the position from side mount.
Stone manages to get back to half guard.

Stone works his way to full guard. Good work.
Brown slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Stone's legs - danger averted.
Brown wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
Brown is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Stone has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brown is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Stone.
Brown lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Stone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Monty Brown will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Sean Stone's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Nice straight punches there by Brown. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Brown.


That has opened up Sean Stone's cut even more.
Monty Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Brown counters with a left to the body.
Stone scores with a push kick.
Brown fails to land the takedown.
Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stone manages to avoid it.
Stone wants to land a leg kick but Brown is out of range.
Stone on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Stone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Stone blocks a jab.
Stone with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Stone stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown misses with a right hand
and Stone counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brown's knee momentarily.

Brown has taken the fight to the clinch.
Brown misses with some punches.
Stone gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monty Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Stone.

Brown lands with a right to the head.
Brown drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stone gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Brown misses with a punch on the inside.
Brown is looking for a takedown.
Stone is trying to drag Brown to the mat but Brown just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Brown has a couple of punches blocked by Stone.
Stone jumps guard but Brown turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Stone gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brown.

Stone pulls guard.

Monty Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Brown trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.

Stone has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though.

You can see the frustration on Stone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Brown swings around for an armbar but Stone sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Brown's guard.

Stone slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Stone is in close to Brown's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Brown has his feet on Stone's thighs here. He's pushed Stone off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Stone screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
