Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Mamute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pouncy McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGee has chosen Anna Lucia as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee closes the distance and clinches up with Mamute, looking for a takedown. McGee pushes Mamute against the cage but Mamute circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McGee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mamute swivels and escapes.
Mamute takes a swing at McGee's ribcage but misses.
The crowd cheers as Mamute lands an impressive looking overhand right. McGee doesn't seem phased though.
McGee shoots in but no luck this time.

McGee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mamute is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mamute parries the strikes from McGee easily there. McGee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mamute to escape.
You can see the frustration on Mamute's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McGee wants to control but Mamute is keeping him busy.

McGee remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That was a close round but I would say that Andre Mamute will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McGee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mamute sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McGee somewhat.
Mamute throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McGee on the side of the head.
