The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jhonson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martinez tries to avoid it but Jhonson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martinez to the ground. Martinez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jhonson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Oh Jhonson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Jhonson might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Martinez throws a sloppy head kick and Jhonson moves out of range easily.
Martinez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jhonson seems to have got his legs back now.
Jhonson will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Martinez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Martinez has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Martinez throws out a loose jab but Jhonson uses good head movement to avoid it.
