Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Vasconcellos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noel Jackson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Vasconcellos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Noel Jackson! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasconcellos on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jackson. Jackson obviously looking to wear him down.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Vasconcellos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Vasconcellos. Nice takedown defense from Vasconcellos. No joy for Jackson on that attempt. Fernando Vasconcellos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noel Jackson. Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vasconcellos defending against the ground and pound. Jackson trying to control the position but Vasconcellos is working away. Jackson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Vasconcellos tries to escape but Jackson is in control. Vasconcellos can't do much from the bottom here. Jackson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Vasconcellos is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vasconcellos looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jackson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vasconcellos is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jackson lets go of the hold and Vasconcellos can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Noel Jackson! Noel Jackson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
