Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dearman Poppdog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Rusty Cage blaring out of the sound system. Poppdog has chosen LOK - Hur många grisar är vi nu? as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks for the body kick but Poppdog saw that one coming.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Poppdog. Poppdog gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Poppdog looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Justin Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dearman Poppdog.

Jones tries a low kick but Poppdog avoids it.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Poppdog's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Poppdog duly obliges.
It looks like Justin Jones has been cut.
Poppdog throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Poppdog tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Poppdog!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Jones wants to clinch up but Poppdog keeps it at a distance.
Jones misses with a wild combination.

Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Poppdog looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Poppdog persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Poppdog counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Poppdog prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Poppdog avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Poppdog is in close to Jones's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Poppdog seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poppdog doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Jones is tightening it up a little... Poppdog has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Poppdog reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Poppdog taps out! nice BJJ there by Jones!
