Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthony Kidd!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Xinhai, right into the meat.
Xinhai misses with a hook.
Kidd takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Xinhai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kidd wants to clinch.
Xinhai defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kidd.
Yang Xinhai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kidd tries to clinch but Xinhai moves out of range.
Xinhai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Xinhai lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Xinhai throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Xinhai, right into the meat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kidd tries to clinch but Xinhai moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Xinhai throws a leg kick which misses Kidd's front leg but catches the back leg as Kidd tries to avoid it.
Kidd tries to close the distance and clinch but Xinhai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Xinhai cracks the inside of Kidd's front leg.
Xinhai turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kidd looks gassed!
Kidd takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A nice leg kick lands there from Xinhai.
Kidd on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Xinhai. Xinhai obviously looking to wear him down.
Xinhai scores with a kick to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kidd blocks a jab.
Xinhai lands a big head kick that sends Kidd tumbling to the mat! Xinhai takes a step backwards and waves Kidd back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Anthony Kidd has been cut.
Xinhai drops Kidd with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kidd looks back up at him and smiles so Xinhai waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Kidd is rocked!
Crack! A monster head kick from Xinhai and Kidd falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Xinhai!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Yang Xinhai!
Our winner, Yang Xinhai, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
