The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arkley tries to land a body kick
letting Martin counter with a right hand.
Arkley connects with a body shot.

Martin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arkley lands a right hook to the body.

Arkley drives through and clinches with Martin against the cage.
Martin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Arkley tries to land a knee to the head but Martin blocks with his arms.

Martin is trying to drag Arkley to the mat but Arkley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Martin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Martin wants to break free but Arkley has control.

Martin has had enough of the clinch but Arkley keeps him there for the moment.
Martin tries to break free but Arkley pushes him back against the cage.
Martin is trying to push Arkley away but Arkley has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Arkley throws a head punch that misses.
Arkley with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Arkley digs a right hand underneath Martin's ribcage. Martin let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Martin has Arkley pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Arkley manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
James Arkley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Martin.
Arkley lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

It looks like Frank Martin has been cut.
Martin breaks the clinch.
Martin throws a right and a left that Arkley avoids nicely.
Martin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Arkley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Martin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Martin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Arkley.
Arkley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Martin.
Arkley smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Arkley lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Martin goes down and covers up as Arkley starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Arkley!
