Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beecher Meetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Beecher Meetz! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Meetz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ross is in Meetz's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ross trying to control but Meetz is working from the bottom. Meetz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Meetz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ross is just riding it out for now. Meetz eventually gives up the hold. Ross kicks Meetz off and gets back to his feet. Ross slaps away a takedown attempt from Meetz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ross tries to work over Meetz's front leg with a kick but Meetz checks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ross. Ross advances to mount. Ross controlling the pace for now. Meetz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Meetz can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ross trying to control but Meetz is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ross controlling from mount. Meetz is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ross throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Meetz because Ross loaded up on that one. Ross can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meetz is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross lands with some strikes. Meetz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Meetz trying to control but Ross is working from the bottom. Ross is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Meetz is controlling him. Meetz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ross wants to stand but Meetz is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meetz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ross wants to stand and escape but Meetz is having none of it. Ross is trying to stand up here but Meetz is controlling him well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Meetz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ross keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ross avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Meetz. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A head kick by Ross misses and Meetz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Meetz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ross swivels though and keeps the full guard. Beecher Meetz has got the better of the ground game so far. Meetz throws a strike but Ross rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ross pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Meetz is keeping the position for now. Ross won't allow Meetz to get back to his feet. Ross content to stall in guard here. Ross working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Meetz tries to buck Ross off but Ross is having none of it. Ross is looking to take a break and control but Meetz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ross stands up.

Ross lands with a shot to the body. Ross shoots in and gets a takedown into Meetz's guard. Ross wants to control from the top but Meetz keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Ross working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ross is looking to work some ground and pound but Meetz has wrist control. Meetz keeping moving, preventing Ross from controlling successfully. Ross showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rick Ross. Ross darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ross bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ross shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ross stalling away here and it's allowed Meetz to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Meetz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ross defends it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Meetz keeping moving, preventing Ross from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Ross dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Ross shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Meetz flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Meetz is desperately trying to improve his position but Ross has a good base and remains in mount. Ross landing shots from mount. Meetz is wriggling around trying to escape.
Meetz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Meetz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ross is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Meetz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Meetz is rocked! Ross looking to control but Meetz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Meetz is trying desperately to improve position. Meetz slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Meetz wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ross lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ross wants to take a breather but Meetz is having none of it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Meetz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Meetz has a hand on Ross's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ross takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Ross prevents Meetz from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross controlling from mount. Meetz is bucking up trying to escape but Ross cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Ross controlling from mount. Ross cracks Meetz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rick Ross is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Poor strikes thrown by Ross there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
