And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Dog!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blimm gets caught flat footed, as Dog shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Blimm is trying to control the position but Dog postures up.
Dog seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Blimm keeping full guard, as Dog tries to pass.
Blimm might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dog slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Dog is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Blimm looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Blimm is really struggling to control Dog but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Dog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blimm swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Bobby Blimm wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Blimm throws a sloppy head kick and Dog moves out of range easily.

Dog throws a good cross that connects.
A combination from Blimm does no damage.
Dog is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Blimm lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blimm misses with a body kick.
Blimm misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blimm misses with a series of wild punches.
Dog throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blimm.

Blimm walks into a stiff left hand from Dog.

Blimm tries to bum rush Dog with a series of wild strikes but Dog uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bobby Blimm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blimm shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dog eats them both and turns towards Blimm to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Dog throws a hook but Blimm blocks it.
Blimm misses with a double jab.
Blimm shoots in but no luck this time.
Dog clobbers Blimm with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blimm is looking to clinch but Dog is avoiding it.
Blimm throws a combination that misses
enabling Dog to counter with a crisp jab.
Blimm slips under a jab.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blimm is defended easily by Dog.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dog connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Blimm's hands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bobby Blimm will probably get the nod.

and Dog counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Blimm throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dog's waist but Dog gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blimm off to one side.

Blimm with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dog to score with a decent uppercut.

Dog shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Blimm eats them both and turns towards Dog to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blimm throws a sloppy head kick and Dog moves out of range easily.
Blimm throws a right and a left that both miss.
Blimm is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Dog's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Donk. Dog catches Blimm right on the button with a cross.
Blimm throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dog sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dog has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Dog lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Oh Blimm is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dog changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blimm looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well Dog has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
