Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geodude Golem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Tsushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Golem's entrance music is Geo dude geo geo dude. A fine choice. Tsushima has chosen Space Bound as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golem takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Golem throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Tsushima ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Tsushima jabs at Golem's body.
Tsushima shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Golem as he jumps to the side.
Lewis Tsushima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tsushima avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

and Tsushima counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Golem will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

It looks like Lewis Tsushima has been cut.

Tsushima looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Golem is fending him off so far but Tsushima persists. Nope, Golem circles away and we're back to standing.
Geodude Golem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lewis Tsushima.
Golem throws a lazy right hand but Tsushima sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tsushima changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Golem tries to avoid it but Tsushima manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Golem to the ground. Golem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Golem moves into the clinch successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tsushima breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Golem, right into the meat.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tsushima is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Tsushima is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Golem defends it well.

Golem tries to roll over but Tsushima keeps him under control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tsushima connects with a nice short shot to Golem's temple.
Tsushima is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Golem is trying to maintain the position but Tsushima is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Golem is bucking up trying to escape but Tsushima cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Golem stuffs the takedown.

Golem gets caught napping as Tsushima dives in and scores a takedown. Golem manages to retain guard.
Golem wants to sweep here but Tsushima controlling him for the moment.
Golem on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Golem tries to get out of the position.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Tsushima. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Tsushima thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tsushima accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tsushima wants to control from the top but Golem keeps moving.

Tsushima takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tsushima is keen to just control but Golem is a slippery customer.
Golem has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tsushima is working away from the top position though.

BOOM! Tsushima connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Tsushima has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Golem's face.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Golem takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tsushima throws a body punch but Golem moves out of range.

and Golem counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Golem scores with a head kick. Tsushima tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Tsushima tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Golem is able to avoid easily.

Tsushima is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tsushima drops his hands momentarily. Golem doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Tsushima staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Tsushima doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
