Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mano Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Mafra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mafra is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalifa. Fabio Mafra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mano Soares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Mafra!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares blocks a head kick by Mafra.
Soares swings for the body but Mafra moves out of range.
Mano Soares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soares shoots in for a takedown but Mafra shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Soares throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mafra's waist but Mafra gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Soares off to one side.
A decent looking cross lands there for Soares.
Soares throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mafra tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Soares is in Mafra's guard.
Mafra looks gassed!
Soares is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Soares throws a big elbow that misses.
Soares thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mafra doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mafra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soares doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soares manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Soares thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mafra keeping full guard, as Soares tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soares throws a big elbow that misses.
Soares wants to pass the guard but Mafra is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soares passes Mafra's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Soares is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mafra doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Soares.
Soares is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mafra is just riding it out for now. Soares eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Soares wants to work for an arm triangle but Mafra is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Soares is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mafra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soares. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

In his post fight interview, Mano Soares started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
