Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derick Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I am The Law kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Derick Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Derick Smith!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Rua or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.
Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rua.
Good shot there by Rua.
It looks like Derick Smith has been cut.
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Rua sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rua shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rua fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rua shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith lands a big head kick that sends Rua tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves Rua back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Frank Rua has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rua looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Smith takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rua thows a body shot but no joy.
Crack! A monster head kick from Smith and Rua falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Smith!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Derick Smith!
Derick Smith really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Untouchable Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
