The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amarela connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Amarela thows a left - swing and a miss!
Amarela connects with a body shot that sends Shewmaker's belly button to the back.
Shewmaker fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Amarela throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shewmaker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Shewmaker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Amarela but Amarela pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shewmaker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Amarela.

Shewmaker moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Shewmaker dives in and grabs Amarela's left leg, looking for a takedown. Amarela pushes down on Shewmaker's head and hops out.
Abelinha Amarela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Shewmaker.
Amarela leaves Shewmaker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Amarela pushes Shewmaker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Shewmaker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Shewmaker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Amarela walks away with a smile on his face. Shewmaker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Amarela counters with a right hand to the body.
Amarela drops Shewmaker with a beautiful combination! Shewmaker stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Amarela is looking for the KO!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shewmaker shoots in but Amarela avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Amarela counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Shewmaker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shewmaker seems to have recovered his senses.
Amarela fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Shewmaker square on the jaw! Damn, Shewmaker is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

A relieved looking Abelinha Amarela thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
