Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steven Dillon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Chase! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase throws a head kick that Dillon semi-blocks.
Dillon cracks Chase with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Eric Chase has been cut. Steven Dillon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Dillon misses. Chase keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dillon. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chase wants to clinch. Dillon misses with a lunging right hand
and Chase counters with a low kick, right behind Dillon 's knee. Chase throws a series of punches but Dillon moves out of range. Dillon takes one on the button. Chase rushes Dillon and presses him up against the cage. Chase's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Dillon dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Chase lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dillon circles away quickly and effectively. Dillon throws an overhand right that drops Chase like a sack of potatoes! Dillon dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Dillon! After winning the bout, Steven Dillon thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
