Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Lescott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Linas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Linas will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lescott is looking for a kimura but Linas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lescott to get the leverage.
Linas is staying active underneath Lescott, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Lescott is pressing down on Linas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Linas is holding on for now.
Linas pushes Lescott off looking to stand but Lescott dives back in and keeps control.

Linas creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lescott's defenses.

Linas has Lescott pressed against the cage, preventing Lescott from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Lescott is trying to pull guard but Linas turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Lescott jumps guard and drags Linas to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Linas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lescott, up you get!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lescott feints and as Linas raises his hands in defense, Lescott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lescott looking to sit in guard and control but Linas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lescott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ben Linas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Linas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
