Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mk Ultra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ultra comes to the cage accompanied by Big Bad - Satriani. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mk Ultra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Shields! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ultra misses with a body punch
and Shields counters with a nice body shot. Shields tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ultra was well out of range. Poor timing from Shields. Ultra misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Ultra enables Shields to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ultra manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ultra keeping moving, preventing Shields from controlling successfully. Shields won't allow Ultra to get back to his feet. Shields pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ultra is keeping the position for now. Ultra is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shields is controlling him. Ultra keeping full guard, as Shields tries to pass. Shields works over Ultra with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shields preventing the sweep. Shields sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ultra's guard. Shields uses his free foot to push down on Ultra's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ultra. Ultra tries to hold on but Shields pushes him away. Shields trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shields looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ultra is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shields is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ultra can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Poor strikes thrown by Shields there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Ultra is squirming around, avoiding Shields's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ultra is trying to stand up. Shields unloads with some shots from mount but Ultra bucks and avoids them well.
Shields trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shields controlling the pace for now. Shields scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Ultra?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ultra tries to hold on but Shields pushes him away. Ultra is working to get back to half guard.

Shields takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ultra is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shields throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ultra because Shields loaded up on that one. Ultra is desperately trying to improve his position but Shields has a good base and remains in mount. Shields jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ultra is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ultra and Shields has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Ultra is not content to let Shields control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shields looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ultra is avoiding damage well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Shields dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shields bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ultra gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ultra takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Shields misses with a looping right. Ultra throws a body punch but Shields moves out of range. Ultra just misses with a punch to the body.

Shields buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shields swings widly with a right hand
and Ultra counters with a left to the body. Ultra looks to land a left hand but Shields moved out of range nicely. Ultra ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shields moves away. Ultra avoids a punch combination nicely.
A leg kick checked by Ultra. Shields shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ultra but Ultra pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ultra throws a body kick that misses and Shields counters with a slapping leg kick. Shields takes a swing at Ultra's ribcage but misses. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Shields.
Shields does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Shields misses with a wild combination.
Ultra swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shields uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ultra. Ultra slips a jab from Shields. A looping hook to the body misses from Ultra. Shields does a little dance to reset his feet. Shields swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ultra lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shields has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shields and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Ultra throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like David Shields has been cut. Ultra takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shields moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shields wants to slow Ultra down by chopping away at his legs. Shields throws a head kick that misses. Shields lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shields. Shields looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Shields fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ultra manages to avoid it. Shields is looking to slow Ultra down with leg kicks. Shields misses with a kick to the body.
Mk Ultra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crunch! Shields slams his shin into Ultra's torso. Ultra takes a jab right on the kisser.
Shields throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ultra is looking to wear down Shields with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Ultra pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shields lands with a good body shot. Ultra moves out of range as Shields strikes. Shields wants to slow Ultra down by chopping away at his legs. Shields throws a hook but Ultra blocks it. Shields fails to land the takedown. Shields swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ultra counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shields's knee momentarily. A head kick misses from Ultra. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ultra lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shields at a distance.
Ultra throws a push kick but Shields slaps the foot to one side. Shields throws a hook but Ultra avoids it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shields drives through with a takedown into guard. Shields stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ultra swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shields slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Shields showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on David Shields's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Ultra. Shields has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ultra. Shields listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Ultra keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shields fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ultra manages to avoid it. A chopping leg kick lands by Shields. Shields closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ultra is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ultra is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shields working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Shields is trying to ground and pound but Ultra uses the momentary lack of control by Shields to regain half guard. Ultra is trying to stand.
Ultra is not content to let Shields control the position. Ultra is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shields wants to control but Ultra is keeping him busy.

Shields has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ultra tries to roll over but Shields keeps him under control. Mk Ultra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Shields missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Shields scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Shields sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ultra defending well though. Shields trying to pass the guard but Ultra defending well. Shields slips a nice elbow through Ultra's hands, connecting with Ultra's forehead. Ultra wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ultra is trying to get back to full guard. Shields is figuring out what he wants to do next. Shields wants to take a breather but Ultra is having none of it. Shields looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ultra makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ultra. Ultra keeping moving, preventing Shields from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shields scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Ultra is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ultra looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Shields has picked Ultra up and slammed him! Ultra can't keep hold of the triangle and Shields manages to pass to side control! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shields in side control, throwing shots but Ultra defends. Ultra managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Shields.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ultra defending against the ground and pound. Ultra prevents Shields from improving position. Shields is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ultra has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that's the end of the fight! David Shields comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shields has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
