The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elias looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Elias persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Elias takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Elias shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Elias tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Elias somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ariel Elias. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Elias on that attempt.
Elias changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jones is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Elias's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Elias! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Jones has tapped! This one is allllll over!
