Gracie comes into the arena with Fort Minor - Petrified (Gracie Remix) blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herzog misses with a takedown attempt
and Gracie counters with a two punch combo.

and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gracie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Herzog.
Christopher Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Herzog.

Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Herzog moves away.
Herzog is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Herzog! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

In his post fight interview, Christopher Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
