The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kupal with a poor takedown
and Cessini counters with a shoot takedown. Kupal fights it but they end up in guard.
Cessini throwing strikes from guard but Kupal blocks nicely.
Cessini connects with a couple of short punches.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kupal could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cessini throws an elbow that misses. Kupal uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cessini's guard. Nice move by Kupal!
Cessini lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kupal!

Kupal wants to hold on but Cessini pushes him away.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kupal is squirming around, avoiding Cessini's attempts to control the action.
Cessini is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kupal can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Cessini loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kupal scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Cessini land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Cessini stands and salutes the crowd.
