Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alan Karaev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mario Brazilian Bjj! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karaev buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Crunch! Karaev slams his shin into Brazilian Bjj's torso. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Brazilian Bjj crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Karaev - the referee stops the clock and Brazilian Bjj gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Karaev. Brazilian Bjj manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Brazilian Bjj should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brazilian Bjj drops his hands momentarily and Karaev takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Karaev lands a big head kick that sends Brazilian Bjj tumbling to the mat! Karaev takes a step backwards and waves Brazilian Bjj back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mario Brazilian Bjj has been cut. Karaev feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brazilian Bjj's calf. Brazilian Bjj looks gassed! Karaev fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Karaev lands with a nice body punch. Karaev is looking to clinch but Brazilian Bjj is avoiding it.
Karaev lands with a slapping head kick. Brazilian Bjj avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karaev scores with a push kick. Karaev lands a big head kick that sends Brazilian Bjj tumbling to the mat! Karaev takes a step backwards and waves Brazilian Bjj back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Brazilian Bjj is rocked!
That has opened up Mario Brazilian Bjj's cut even more. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karaev throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brazilian Bjj stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Brazilian Bjj is still on wobbly legs! Can Karaev finish him? Karaev catches Brazilian Bjj with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Brazilian Bjj forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alan Karaev!
