Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dante Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Activin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fertit comes to the cage accompanied by Roots Bloody Roots. George Activin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit wants to clinch.
Fertit fails in his attempt to clinch.

Activin keeps the fight on the outside.
Activin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Fertit smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Activin throws a poor cross that misses
and Fertit counters with a straight right hand.
Fertit takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Activin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fertit tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Fertit shoots in looking for a takedown but Activin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fertit's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Activin tries to keep at a distance but Fertit has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fertit keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Activin's efforts to push away.

Activin prevents a body shot from Fertit.
Fertit is working for takedown but Activin is calmly controlling the position for now.
Activin tries to score a body lock takedown but Fertit shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Activin lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Fertit struggles to land a body shot inside as Activin controls his hands.
Fertit has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Activin after a bit of a struggle.

and Activin counters with a three punch combo that has Fertit backing up. Fertit nods at Activin to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fertit throws a body punch but Activin moves out of range.
Activin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fertit moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Activin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fertit circles away quickly and effectively.
Fertit takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Activin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
No joy there for Activin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Activin swats away the attempt to clinch by Fertit.
Activin fails to land the takedown.

Fertit shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Activin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fertit gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Activin to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fertit is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Activin is controlling him.
Fertit pulls Activin in to control the position.
Fertit not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Dante Fertit wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Fertit tries to clinch up.
Fertit gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Activin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fertit shoots and misses
and Activin counters with a nice uppercut.
Dante Fertit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Activin shoots in looking for a takedown. Fertit tries to sprawl out of it but Activin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fertit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Fertit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fertit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Activin as he jumps to the side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fertit gets a double leg takedown into Activin's guard.

Fertit is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Activin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Fertit is looking to defend but Activin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fertit! Activin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fertit taps out and this one is all over!
