Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rios might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Painkiller - Judas Priest. Duncan has chosen Haka as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan thows a body shot but no joy.
Duncan misses with a body kick.
Some wild striking there from Duncan.
Duncan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Duncan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rios is out of range.
Rios thuds his shin into the meat of Duncan's side.
Rios ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Duncan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Duncan.
It looks like Alex Rios has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rios throws a head kick that misses.
Duncan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rios scoring well with a low kick there.
Rios throws a combination that misses
and Duncan counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Rios cracks Duncan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Alex Rios seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rios looks to land a combination but Duncan avoids it well.

and Rios counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Duncan is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Rios looks to throw the jab but Duncan is out of range.

Duncan looks for the body kick but Rios saw that one coming.
Rios cracks Duncan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Duncan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Duncan throws a right and a left that Rios avoids nicely.
Duncan wants to clinch.
Rios throws a leg kick that is checked
and Duncan counters with a three punch combo that has Rios backing up. Rios nods at Duncan to acknowledge the strikes.
Duncan tries to clinch there but Rios circles away.
Rios misses with a low kick.
Duncan checks the leg kick nicely there.

Rios fails to land with a series of punches.
Duncan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rios lands a front kick.
Duncan slips under a jab from Rios.
Duncan lands a leg kick that knocks Rios off balance momentarily.
Duncan scores a takedown into full mount!
Rios is in all sorts of trouble here.
Duncan trying to control but Rios is having none of it.

Rios had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Duncan defends it easily.
Duncan wants to pass the guard but Rios is keeping the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rios is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Duncan is aware though and is defending well.
Rios preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rios looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Tom Duncan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rios throws a front kick aimed at Duncan's knee but Duncan avoids it well.
Duncan moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Duncan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Duncan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Rios wants to control but Duncan passes easily into half guard.
Rios is pressing down on Duncan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Duncan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rios swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Duncan wants to control from the top but Rios keeps moving.
Rios lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Duncan!

Rios wants to control the pace but Duncan is squirming around nicely.

Rios is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Rios misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Rios is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Duncan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Duncan is looking to improve his position but Rios isn't that keen on the idea.
Rios softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Duncan is out cold! Rios jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
