Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Van Beethoven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Beethoven comes to the cage accompanied by Beethoven-Symphony 7. James comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Ultimatum kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wolfgang Van Beethoven ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
39 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rip James! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Van Beethoven . Van Beethoven misses with a head kick.
James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Van Beethoven .
James shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Van Beethoven just holding on. Van Beethoven is in a horrible position here. James smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
James with good strikes from the mount here! Van Beethoven wants to hold on but James pushes him away. James is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Van Beethoven can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
James has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This has been an exciting period of action! James has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Van Beethoven 's face.
Van Beethoven wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by James.
Van Beethoven tries to reverse the position but James maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Beethoven blocking the ground and pound. A nice elbow there by James. James can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Van Beethoven is looking to escape. James raining down shots from the mount! James scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James looking to control but Van Beethoven is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. James cracks Van Beethoven with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Van Beethoven can't escape the position.
Van Beethoven wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
James putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's two minutes gone in the round. James breaks from Van Beethoven 's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Van Beethoven is rocked! James prevents Van Beethoven from getting the reversal. Van Beethoven takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! James's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rip James!
