Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Hooker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fat Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooker changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hooker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Bastard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hooker sizes up Bastard with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bastard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hooker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bastard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hooker lands a jab to the nose.
Hooker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bastard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bastard takes one on the button.
It looks like Fat Bastard has been cut.
Nice body punch from Hooker.
Bastard looks gassed!
Hooker connects with the punch.
A cross from Hooker lands.
Bastard takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bastard walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hooker cracks Bastard with an open hand slap.
That has opened up Fat Bastard's cut even more.
Hooker lands a left and a right that sends Bastard crashing to the canvas! Hooker dives into mount looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hooker quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Hooker but it's paid off an Bastard is forced to tap! Nice work by Hooker.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joseph Hooker!
