Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramon Piaza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rey de Chocolate! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! de Chocolate shoots in looking for a takedown. Piaza tries to sprawl out of it but de Chocolate keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Piaza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Piaza tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Piaza lands a head kick that stumbles de Chocolate and the fighters go to the mat.
de Chocolate is rocked!
It looks like Rey de Chocolate has been cut. Piaza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Piaza stopping the sweep attempt from de Chocolate. de Chocolate is still in real trouble! Can Piaza finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. de Chocolate seems to have recovered his senses. de Chocolate manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

de Chocolate postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Piaza looks a forlorn figure.

Nope, Piaza circles away and we're back to standing. de Chocolate looks for a takedown but Piaza sprawls well. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from de Chocolate. Let's see if de Chocolate can do anything to dispel that myth. Piaza would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Piaza accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Piaza won't allow de Chocolate to sweep him here. de Chocolate is looking to sweep but instead, Piaza has passed into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. de Chocolate is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. de Chocolate missing with punches from the bottom.
de Chocolate moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. de Chocolate is striking off his back. Piaza thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. de Chocolate tries to roll over but Piaza keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Piaza trying to control from half guard but de Chocolate is working away. de Chocolate flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

de Chocolate thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. de Chocolate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. de Chocolate wants to hit a switch here but Piaza passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for de Chocolate there!
