PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earth Quake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quake has chosen PRODIGY - RUN WITH THE WOLVES as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, David Kappa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earth Quake!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quake misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kappa.
Quake cracks a nice hook into Kappa's ribs.
Kappa is looking to score with low kicks.
Kappa lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kappa lands with a nice body punch.
Kappa shoots for a takedown but Quake saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kappa tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Quake missing with a left hand there. Kappa was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Kappa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Quake manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Quake enables Kappa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Quake manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Earth Quake has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Quake manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kappa manages to get himself to full guard.

Earth Quake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
