The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis swats away the attempt to clinch by Ferguson.
Davis throws a series of punches but Ferguson moves out of range.

Davis gets a clinch.
Davis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ferguson after a bit of a struggle.
Ferguson prevents the takedown attempt.
A right hand to the body from Ferguson.
Ferguson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Davis walks away with a smile on his face. Ferguson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ferguson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Davis throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Davis misses with a double jab.
Ferguson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Davis.

Ferguson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Davis sprawls well initially but Ferguson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Davis has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ferguson. Oh but Davis has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ferguson goes limp - he's gone! Davis jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
