Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Jordan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ronnie Riley! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jordan defending well as Riley loads up on a big left hand. Jordan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Riley thows a body shot but no joy. Jordan on the wrong end of a nice hook. Nice uppercut lands for Riley. That snapped Jordan's head back.
Jordan lands a lovely overhand right. A low kick from Riley misses and Jordan counters with a one-two to the body. Jordan swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Riley to counter with a crisp jab. Riley jabs Jordan to the body, keeping him at a distance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Riley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Riley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jordan's calf. Jordan shoots in for a double leg but Riley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A head kick misses from Jordan. Jordan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Riley. A decent looking body kick lands there for Riley. Riley blocks a head kick by Jordan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley looks for the body kick but Jordan saw that one coming. Riley buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Riley cracks a nice hook into Jordan's ribs. Riley throws a hook to the side of Jordan's head but Jordan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Riley scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Riley wants to slow Jordan down by chopping away at his legs. Jordan blocks the body kick.
Riley pushes Jordan up against the cage in a clinch. Jordan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Riley is looking for a sweep. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Riley is not content to let Jordan control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley struggling a bit here. Riley is looking to reverse the position. Jordan throws a strike aimed at the side of Riley's head but Riley avoids it well. Jordan looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Riley is avoiding damage well.
Riley is trying to control Jordan's posture but Jordan avoids it. Riley tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jordan working away. Riley tries to improve position but can't. Jordan working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Riley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jordan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Riley isn't going anywhere. Jordan working the ground and pound but Riley is defending the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley manages to get back to half guard. Riley is trying to maintain the position but Jordan is very close to passing his half guard. Jordan prevents Riley from improving his position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jordan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Riley's thigh. Riley counters though and makes it back to full guard. Jordan wants to pass the guard but Riley is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan moves out of range of the body kick from Riley.
Riley fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jordan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Riley lands with a cross. Riley fails in his attempt to clinch. Jordan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Riley throws a sloppy head kick and Jordan moves out of range easily. Riley pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Jordan counters with an inside leg kick. A big right from Jordan misses. Riley throws a leg kick but Jordan sees it coming and checks it nicely. Jordan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Jordan. Riley throws a sloppy head kick and Jordan counters with a stiff right hand. Riley moves out of range of the leg kick from Jordan. Jordan misses the jab. Jordan misses with a body shot.
Riley throws a shot to the body.
A big right from Riley misses. The fighters circling - Riley throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Riley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Riley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Jordan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Riley can pounce on him.
Riley throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A lazy left from Riley finds it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jordan throws a lazy right hand but Riley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Riley will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jordan lands a leg kick that knocks Riley off balance momentarily. Riley lands a right hook to the body.
Riley lands with a shot to the body. Jordan is looking to land body kicks. Riley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Riley moves out of range as Jordan strikes. Jordan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jordan misses with a wild combination.
Jordan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ronnie Riley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley throws a leg kick that is checked and Jordan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Riley scores with a punch to the head. Jordan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Riley. Jordan misses with a hook. Riley ducked under it nicely. Jordan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Riley stuns Jordan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jordan throws a leg kick that misses. Riley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Riley misses with a head kick.
Ronnie Riley seems to be getting the better of the standup. Riley is looking to land body kicks. Jordan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Riley misses with a looping left. Riley is looking to chop away at Jordan's legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Jordan. Jordan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Riley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Riley darts in and clinches Jordan up against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jordan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Jordan looking for a takedown. Jordan lands an uppercut. Riley misses with some punches.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jordan lands with a light punch inside. Jordan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Riley pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Jordan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riley with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronnie Riley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
A head kick misses from Riley. Riley throws a shot from downtown. Jordan moves away and avoids it. Riley takes a swing at Jordan's ribcage but misses. Jordan ducks right into an uppercut from Riley. Jordan blocks a head kick by Riley.
Riley connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jordan. Jordan circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Riley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Riley throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Riley tries to clinch up but Jordan circles away and keeps his distance. Riley throws a nice outside leg kick. A slow jab from Jordan misses its intended target. Jordan lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
This has been an exciting period of action! Riley throws a leg kick but Jordan sees it coming and moves out of range. Joe Jordan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jordan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Riley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jordan. Jordan is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Riley swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jordan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Riley lands a jab. Jordan sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Jordan drops his hands momentarily and Riley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Riley scores with a shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Jordan on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ronnie Riley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A slapping leg kick lands for Riley.
Jordan will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Riley doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jordan avoids the head kick by Riley.
Nice defenses there by Jordan. Riley moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Riley lunges at Jordan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jordan's hand. Riley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jordan.
Jordan throws a push kick but Riley slaps the foot to one side. Riley tries to land a leg kick but Jordan saw it coming and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley tries to clinch but Jordan moves out of range. Jordan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jordan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jordan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Riley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Riley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Jordan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Riley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Riley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Jordan thows a body shot but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jordan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Riley lands with a slapping head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Ronnie Riley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Riley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
