Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Hodges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Tucker! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Hodges. Tucker does a little dance to reset his feet. Tucker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hodges was well out of range. Poor timing from Tucker. Tucker missing with a left hand there. Hodges was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A head kick misses from Hodges. Tucker misses with a hook. Hodges ducked under it nicely. Tucker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A looping hook to the body misses from Tucker. Hodges does a little dance to reset his feet. Tucker jabs Hodges to the body, keeping him at a distance. Hodges throws a right and a left that Tucker avoids nicely. Tucker throws a head kick that misses. Tucker scores with a jab to the jaw. Hodges shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hodges throwing strikes but missing. Hodges trying to control but Tucker is working from the bottom. Tucker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hodges. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hodges stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hodges tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tucker swivels and escapes. Tucker loads up on a big right hand but Hodges slips the punch. Hodges shoots for a double leg takedown but Tucker sprawls well. He's pushed Hodges's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tucker misses with an uppercut. Hodges saw that one coming. Hodges takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tucker scores with a nice right hand.
Hodges is breathing heavily. Hodges takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hodges shoots in and drives through. Tucker sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Hodges. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tucker scores with a jab to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tucker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tucker throws a right and a left that both miss. Hodges steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tucker. Hodges avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tucker misses with an uppercut. James Tucker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hodges misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tucker connects with a body shot. Tucker looks to throw the jab but Hodges is out of range. Tucker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Tucker connects with a body shot that sends Hodges's belly button to the back. Hodges really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A jab lands there for Tucker. James Tucker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hodges tries to move into range but Tucker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Tucker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hodges is rocked! Tucker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hodgess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Oh Hodges is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tucker Throws a clean left jab. Tucker Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Hodges's chin! Hodges crumbles to the ground and Tucker follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Tucker!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). James Tucker! A very excited looking James Tucker rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
