Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies closes the distance and pushes Gandhi back into the cage.
Gandhi jumps guard but Davies turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Gandhi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Davies just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gandhi wants to take the fight to the mat but Davies manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mahatma Gandhi . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davies is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

John Davies is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gandhi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Davies.

Gandhi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Davies.
Mahatma Gandhi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gandhi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Davies on his heels. He'll look to pass Davies's guard now, I'm sure.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gandhi . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We're going to have a standup here because Mahatma Gandhi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Davies throws a hook but Gandhi blocks it.
Gandhi shoots in looking for a takedown but Davies manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gandhi 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davies feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gandhi s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Good leg kick by Davies there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gandhi tries to move into range but Davies moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Mahatma Gandhi has been cut.
Gandhi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Davies dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mahatma Gandhi 's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gandhi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davies's waist but Davies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gandhi off to one side.
A slow jab from Davies misses its intended target.
Gandhi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davies tries to avoid it but Gandhi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davies to the ground. Davies escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Davies fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gandhi manages to avoid it.
Gandhi shoots in for a takedown but Davies shows good takedown defense.

A punch lands to the side of Gandhi 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Oh Gandhi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davies will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gandhi up against the cage.

Gandhi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davies is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Davies creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Gandhi ! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Davies.
