Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shane Christian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moe Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Christian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moe Lester! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Lester. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lester. Lester throws a head kick but Christian moves out of range.
Christian throws a right and a left that Lester avoids nicely. No joy there for Lester, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Christian takes a swing at Lester's ribcage but misses. Lester looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Christian moves in looking to clinch but Lester pushes him off. Lester throws a nice looking combination but Christian bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lester takes a kick to the side of the head. Christian avoids a kick to the body.
Shane Christian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Christian slips a jab and a cross from Lester.
Lester throws a head kick that misses and Christian counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lester's guard now. Lester keeping moving, preventing Christian from controlling successfully. Christian drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lester looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lester looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lester!
That's one minute gone in the round. Christian tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lester wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Christian can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Christian tries to strike but it doesn't land. Christian gets back to half guard. Lester prevents Christian from standing back up.
Christian wants to improve his position but Lester is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lester throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Christian fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Christian counters with an outside leg kick.
Christian throws a head kick that Lester semi-blocks.
Christian moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Christian misses with the combination.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Christian has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lester is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Christian decides to pull guard. Christian looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Christian is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Christian is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Christian controls Lester momentarily but Lester frees himself. Christian thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Christian dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lester scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Lester throws a sloppy head kick and Christian counters with a good low kick that Lester was not able to check. Lester tries to bum rush Christian with a series of wild strikes but Christian uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lester looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A punch combination from Christian misses. Christian fails with a takedown attempt. Christian misses with a jab, cross combination.
Christian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lester tries to avoid it but Christian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lester to the ground. Lester escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Christian gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lester misses with the combination.

Christian digs a good body shot into Lester's ribs. Lester finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lester is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Lester is breathing heavily. Christian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Christian showed some decent athleticism there. Christian is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lester is just riding it out for now. Christian eventually gives up the hold. Christian wants to control but Lester is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christian tries to pass to full mount but Lester defends it. Lester wants to get back to full guard but Christian has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christian is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lester can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Christian is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lester is surviving well by controlling Christian's body position as best he can. Lester really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Christian wants to stand but Lester is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Christian controlling from mount. Christian with good strikes from the mount here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lester wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Christian.
Lester prevents Christian from taking his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lester goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lester takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lester misses with a body punch

Lester keeping moving, preventing Christian from controlling successfully. Christian throwing strikes but missing. Christian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lester is proving hard to escape from. Lester takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christian working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lester keeping moving, preventing Christian from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christian accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lester keeping moving, preventing Christian from controlling successfully.

Lester throws a body kick the misses and Christian counters with an outside leg kick.
Christian takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lester misses with a body shot.
Christian fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Christian. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lester looks to throw a body kick and Christian counters with a three punch combo that has Lester backing up. Lester nods at Christian to acknowledge the strikes. Horrible takedown by Christian or perhaps it was just good defense by Lester which made him look bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christian keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Lester is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Christian. Christian moves into the clinch successfully.
Christian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lester throws a right hand that Christian ducks under and follows up with a left that Christian also avoids with ease. Lester gets caught flat footed, as Christian shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Christian trying to control the position from guard on top but Lester is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Moe Lester has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lester is trying to control the position but Christian postures up. Christian is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Christian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Christian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight! Shane Christian showed his dominance in that final round. Well Christian has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
