The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Magtibay.
Magtibay just misses with a punch to the body.
Magtibay swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Magtibay fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Silva lands with a nice body kick.
Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Silva.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Magtibay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Magtibay is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Magtibay is looking to escape.
Magtibay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Magtibay tries to get out of the position.

Silva keeps control of the position easily here as Magtibay tries to buck him off.
It looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
