Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Viktor Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mufasa Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Taylor to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Taylor drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Taylor jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Taylor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Green looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Green looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Green!
Taylor is looking to regain half guard here but Green keeps moving and retains side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taylor can do anything to dispel that myth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taylor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Green doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Green manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Green misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Green throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Taylor wants to control the pace but Green is squirming around nicely.
Taylor wants to take Green's back but he can't do it this time.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Taylor with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Green can't escape the position.

Taylor jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Green manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Taylor goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Green rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Taylor's guard! Nice work there by Green!
Taylor tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Taylor lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Green!

Taylor wants to finish this one by submission but Green is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Taylor.
Green is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Taylor is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Green can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Taylor trying to control but Green is having none of it.

Taylor has hold of Green's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Green manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Taylor wants to control the pace but Green is squirming around nicely.

Taylor looking for a guillotine from mount but Green is having none of it.
Taylor tries to control but Green wriggling away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Taylor goes for an armbar but Green turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Green.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mufasa Taylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Green misses with a series of wild punches.
Taylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Taylor rushes Green and presses him up against the cage.
Taylor is looking for a takedown.
Taylor wants to take the fight to the mat but Green manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Taylor wants a takedown.
Viktor Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mufasa Taylor.
Green tries to circle away but Taylor has him pinned against the cage.

Taylor gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Taylor looking to sit in guard and control but Green gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Taylor looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Green gets to his feet. Taylor looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Taylor throws a head kick that misses.
Taylor tries to clinch up but Green circles away and keeps his distance.
Green tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Green finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Taylor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Taylor is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Green won't allow Taylor to pass to mount.

Green wants to get back to his feet.

Taylor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Green is just riding it out for now. Taylor eventually gives up the hold.
Taylor works his way into side control.

Taylor has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Green is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Taylor yanks on the arm and Green is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Taylor.
