Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Veikko Karhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Iksinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karhu comes into the arena with Nine / Make Or Take blaring out of the sound system. Iksinski has chosen Skyrim Theme as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Veikko Karhu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Veikko Karhu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Veikko Karhu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michal Iksinski! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iksinski getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Iksinski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Karhu. Karhu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Karhu looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Iksinski wants to control from the top but Karhu keeps moving. Iksinski looking to pass the guard. Iksinski postures up in Karhu's guard and throws a big left but Karhu blocks it. Iksinski passes into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Iksinski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Iksinski trying to mount his opponent but Karhu defends it. Iksinski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Karhu regains full guard. Nicely done. Iksinski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Karhu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Iksinski has Karhu in his guard. Karhu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Iksinski swivels though and keeps the full guard. Iksinski looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Karhu passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karhu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Karhu is trying to control. Iksinski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Karhu passes to side control. Iksinski looks to move to half guard but instead Karhu has passed into mount! Damn! Iksinski is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Iksinski is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Karhu controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Iksinski is looking to improve his position but Karhu isn't that keen on the idea. Iksinski swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Karhu trying to control but Iksinski is having none of it. Karhu working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Iksinski sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Iksinski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Karhu doesn't seem bothered though. Karhu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Iksinski. Karhu slips a straight right by Iksinski. Karhu tests Iksinski's chin there with a solid looking shot. Karhu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Iksinski was well out of range. Poor timing from Karhu. Iksinski scores with a takedown into Karhu's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Iksinski tries to free his leg and advance position but Karhu is retaining full guard.

Karhu is trying to control the position but Iksinski postures up. Iksinski prevents Karhu from getting back to his feet. Iksinski has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Karhu is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karhu blocking the ground and pound. Karhu holds on for dear life, controlling Iksinski's posture momentarily. Iksinski controlling from mount. Iksinski cracks Karhu with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Iksinski putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Iksinski looking to finish Karhu with some ground and pound. This is bad for Karhu! Iksinski thowing shots but they're missing. Karhu tries to get back to half guard but can't. Iksinski with good strikes from the mount here! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karhu blocking the ground and pound. Iksinski looking to control but Karhu is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Iksinski looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Iksinski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Karhu is now in Iksinski's guard. A big mistake from Iksinski there, giving up the dominant position! Iksinski is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Iksinski is breathing heavily. Iksinski is looking for a triangle but Karhu pushes his legs off easily.
Michal Iksinski has got the better of the ground game so far. Karhu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Iksinski swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Iksinski looking for subs off his back but Karhu has passed one foot through into half guard.

Michal Iksinski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Karhu scores with a jab. Karhu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Iksinski. Iksinski throws a shot from downtown. Karhu moves away and avoids it. Karhu scores with a body shot.

and Iksinski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Iksinski misses with a double jab.
A left lands for Iksinski. Decent striking displayed by Karhu there. Karhu lands a jab to Iksinski's midsection. Karhu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Karhu dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Iksinski pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Michal Iksinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Karhu misses. A big left from Iksinski misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karhu blocks a jab. Iksinski scores with a hook to the body. Karhu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Iksinski has taken the fight to the clinch.
Iksinski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Iksinski tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Karhu's elbow. Karhu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Karhu gets through Iksinski's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Iksinski is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Karhu to keep the fight standing. Karhu lands with a left to the head. Iksinski decides to pull guard. Karhu wanted to stand there but Iksinski had control of the position. Karhu wants to control from the top but Iksinski keeps moving. Iksinski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Karhu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Karhu trying to control but he's not successful this time. Karhu content just to control the position here. Karhu trying to control but Iksinski is having none of it.

Karhu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Iksinski can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Iksinski bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Iksinski looking to sit in guard and control but Karhu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Veikko Karhu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Michal Iksinski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Karhu with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that's the end of the fight! Veikko Karhu showed his dominance in that final round. I think Iksinski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
